You'll build the core of akiboe with the founder, from prototype to production.
What you'll do
Build the core product: own features across the frontend, backend, and AI infrastructure, from prototype to production.
Engineer AI-powered learning: develop pipelines for source ingestion, research synthesis, knowledge extraction, and personalized lesson generation.
Build adaptive personalization: implement systems that infer what someone knows, what interests them, how they're progressing, and what they should learn next.
Improve content quality: build evaluations for factual accuracy, explanation quality, narrative coherence, and learning effectiveness.
Optimize performance: improve inference latency, infrastructure reliability, and cost efficiency.
Ship quickly: work directly with the founder to turn ambitious research ideas into working product.
What we're looking for
Strong full-stack engineering ability and experience shipping real products.
Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, agents, retrieval systems, or AI pipelines.
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, backend systems, APIs, and databases.
Ability to independently architect, implement, debug, and iterate on complex systems.
Strong product judgment and comfort in an ambiguous early-stage environment.
Genuine interest in AI, learning, knowledge systems, or personalization.
Bonus
Experience with recommendation systems, contextual bandits, knowledge graphs, or user modeling.
Experience building consumer products with strong engagement and retention.

akiboe combines AI-written explanations, storytelling, motion graphics, and adaptive content. We're looking for a designer who can make complicated ideas immediately understandable and visually compelling.
What you'll do
Design learning experiences: turn research and complex concepts into clear, engaging visual explanations.
Create motion graphics: build animations that communicate ideas and improve understanding.
Develop reusable systems: design templates and components used across thousands of AI-generated lessons.
Improve product UX: work on the feed, the lesson screens, and onboarding.
Support distribution: create visual assets for short-form social content.
Work with engineering: make sure designs are practical to build and scale in code.
What we're looking for
A strong portfolio in motion design, visual storytelling, or interactive product design.
Experience with Figma and motion tools such as After Effects, Rive, or similar.
Excellent typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and animation judgment.
Ability to simplify complicated information without losing accuracy.
Comfort working independently in a fast-moving startup.
