Akiboe
Terms of Service
Last updated October 17, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Akiboe (“we”) for using the website at akiboe.com and the Akiboe app (together, “Akiboe”). By using Akiboe you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use Akiboe
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.
Your account
Give accurate details and keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.
What Akiboe is, and what it is not
Akiboe builds a learning plan and lessons for a goal you choose. Lessons are written with AI from public sources on the web and can contain mistakes, leave things out, or go out of date. Akiboe is for learning; it is not professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise). Check anything important before you rely on it.
Lessons summarise, quote, link to and embed material from other websites and creators, which belongs to them. If you believe something in Akiboe infringes your rights, email us with the details and we will look into it promptly.
Plans, trials and billing
- Akiboe Plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown before you buy. Taxes may apply.
- A new account can start one free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and you are charged at the end of the trial.
- Plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Cancel any time in Settings → Account → Manage billing; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Payments are processed by Stripe on akiboe.com, including when you start a plan from the iPhone app; they are not purchases through Apple. Deleting your account cancels your plan.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable, but email us if something went wrong and we will do what we can.
- We may change prices. A change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
Using Akiboe fairly
Do not:
- break the law, or use Akiboe to harass, harm or deceive anyone;
- post anything you do not have the right to share, or that is hateful, sexual involving minors, or violent;
- try to get into accounts or systems that are not yours, or disrupt or overload Akiboe;
- scrape Akiboe, or copy, resell or build a competing service from it.
Your content
What you write in Akiboe (your goal, notes, answers and uploads) stays yours. You let us store, process and use it to run Akiboe for you, including sending it to the AI services described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete it by deleting your account.
Our content
Akiboe's software, design and the lessons it makes are ours or our licensors'. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy or redistribute them beyond that without our permission.
Ending
You can stop using Akiboe and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may change or stop parts of Akiboe.
Disclaimers and liability
Akiboe is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
The Akiboe app for iPhone
If you use the iPhone app, you also agree that:
- these terms are between you and Akiboe, not Apple, and Akiboe, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content;
- your licence is to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple's Media Services Terms allow;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any); beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation;
- Akiboe, not Apple, is responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection and privacy claims, and claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property;
- you are not in a country under a U.S. government embargo or listed as a terrorist-supporting country, and you are not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they apply. Continuing to use Akiboe after that means you accept the new terms.
